1800's Steel Cut Bead Purse
Beautiful antique drawstring silk bag with steel cut beads in a star shape pattern with steal cut fringe at bottom. A blue band across the top displays the steel cut beads nicely. 1800's historical flapper style small drawstring purse with two round decorative balls at top of bag, covered in steel cut beads. Beautiful crochet olive silk thread and blue silk thread compliment each other well. Drawstrings are tied at the end, so can hold bag with it looped around the finger.
Measurements:
8" long - top of bag to longest fringe point at bottom
4 1/2" - wide at widest point and bottom
1 1/2" - width at top when cinched closed
1 3/4" - full length of fringe at bottom
3/4"L x 1/2"W - decorative balls at top
6 1/2"- length of two drawstrings.
condition: pretty good vintage condition - The bag is slightly torn at the top side but could easily be mended, some discoloration from sun on one side at the bottom, but not too noticeable.
